The Great Normalization
The LLMs are getting so good so fast. I think it was Tyler Cowen who said we haven't had time to develop the "cultural antibodies" to it.
The LLMs just have such a distinctive pattern of writing and I'm recognizing it in almost half of the tweets (both short and long) on my Twitter timeline.
Most of the time it is slop but sometimes it also works. Humans have mirror neurons that react when a particular action is performed and when it is observed.
You can see why I worry about this.
We're becoming conditioned, whether we like or not to mode collapse to LLM writing styles through subliminal SFT.
